Neil Mason - Music Director
Neil has been associated with the Bach Society of Queensland for nearly 30 years, firstly as a madrigal singer with the Jubilate Singers in its concert series in Wickham Terrace, then as a soloist, and finally, since 1987, as its Music Director.
In that time he has striven to perform not only well-known works of the baroque era, but also to familiarise both choir and audiences with neglected masterpieces of the 18th century. He has conducted many Australian and Queensland premieres, including CPE Bach’s
Israelites in the Wilderness and, earlier this year, Resurrection and Ascension of Jesus.
