Membership of the Society
currently stands at 76, around 65% of whom sing in the
Bach Choir.
Members of the Society pay an
annual subscription which covers administration,
Insurance, and the Music
Director’s honorarium. Concessional membership is available
to pensioners, Senior
Card holders, students and additional family members.
Membership of the Bach Choir is open to financial members
of The Bach Society of
Queensland Inc., whose admission to the choir is determined by a voice
test given by
Music Director. Choristers pay an additional levy towards the
cost of hall hire,
purchase or hire of
music and the Accompanist’s honorarium, as well as a uniform levy
which covers the cost of
uniforms supplied to the choir for each performance.
Membership subscriptions,
choir and uniform levies are due on 1st.February each year.
Half-yearly subscriptions are
offered to those who join the Society/Choir after 1st.August).
Fees are reviewed from time to
time.
